The entire metal body is made from 6063 aluminum which goes through the process of CNC machining, polishing, anodizing, sand blasting and goes through 24 more manufacturing stages to create this solid piece of metal art that is the Q5.

Double Joint Design
The Double Joint Design is a new innovative structure in the industry. In addition to the gaskets on the plates, we added silicone pads between the top and bottom caps to significantly reduce sound resonance between metals and decrease metal impact noise. This design allows the keyboard to maintain the flexibility of the joint structure and improves the overall sound when typing.

An Epic Core Inside the Keyboard
A powerful ultra-low-power ARM architecture MCU equipped with 128K Flash memory will provide more flexibility for developers. The polling rate is 1000Hz as standard, making latency non-existent for competitive gaming.

Switch between macOS and Windows
Designed with Mac users in mind while maintaining compatibility with Windows devices, the Keychron Q5 comes with a system switch and an additional set of custom keys for both systems. You can now save two different keyboard layouts, one for each system.

OSA Backlit Keys ABS Profile
To further enhance your typing experience, the ISO version of the Q5 comes with our exclusive OSA profile (OEM profile with spherical angle) and ABS backlit keys that aim to provide a more comfortable fingertip feel and a fantastic backlight effect.

Designed to enhance your creative workflow, the premium rotary encoder lets you easily customize your favorite keys and macros on the knob via VIA software.

Q5 program with QMK and VIA
With full support for QMK and VIA, you can easily program and remap every key on the keyboard. Open source firmware means endless possibilities for keyboard layouts, shortcuts, backlight effects, even the knob and more.

Hot Swappable
Hot-swappable sockets are mounted on the PCB, so you can install or change switches without soldering. The PCB supports both 3-pin and 5-pin MX mechanical switches.

South Facing RGB LED Lights
The south facing RGB LED is designed to better illuminate the keyboard backlight from the typist's angle with the PBT keycaps installed. The south-facing RGB is also interference-free when users install alternative OEM or Cherry profile keycaps on the keyboard.

Pre-lubricated Gateron G Pro Switch
The optimized molded switch with more precise position and less wobble will definitely improve the feel in your fingers. With the fully assembled version of the Q5 equipped with factory pre-lubricated Gateron G Pro switches, a smoother typing experience is guaranteed for you.

PCB Stabilizers with Screws
Screw-in design increases stability and makes changes and upgrades easier. Precise craftsmanship makes the stabilizers more stable and less shaky. The typing experience of the big keys (space bar, shift, enter, delete) is now more stable and smooth. The Keychron Q5 also supports third-party stabilizers.
